Hyatt Regency Wedding Photography
As promised, I am happy to finally unveil our super cool graphically manipulated picture of the groom! All props are due to Doug's extensive efforts to create a Matrix poster replica. To celebrate and observe Sarika's (beautiful bride) culture, James, the handsome groom, donned a traditional Indian wedding / ceremony outfit. Since the Indian outfit reminded him of Neo from Matrix the movie, he decided to bring along some wicked shades to complement his clothing.
The left image is the original image prior to edit. It was photographed in a completely dark room with only his face gently lit by a flashlight. I put the original picture in juxtaposition to the final image to show you the work that was done in order to achieve the final effect.

We were so thrilled with the result that we had the picture of James (groom) printed in a large metallic poster, which will make it shimmer like a hologram! =) Anyway, Sarika and James' wedding was held at the beautiful Hyatt Regency Hotel in Orange County.
Sarika's beautiful dress hung in a bar at the Hyatt Regency Hotel. I absolutely love the lighting!

Some detail photographs of the bride's hands. From my understanding of Indian weddings, before the actual wedding ceremony the bride will have her hands and legs drawn on with some form of semi-permanent henna ink. It lasts for four to six weeks. I sincerely admire the artistic workmanship!

Here is Sarika, the chic bride, getting her make-up done.

A glimpse of the bride's legs.

While the bride was getting ready, Doug accompanied the groom while he worked out in the gym.

This was Doug's first attempt at the Matrix recreation, but the uncontrolled lighting did not suit his vision for the final poster.

Here is a quick snap of the wedding ceremony.

Before sunset, we went outside of the Hyatt Regency Hotel and took a few pictures with the water fountain as the backdrop.

Unfortunately, the next two images will not do the reception justice. The wedding reception was back to back with performances and dancing! If I were to post every image, this blog will take too long to load.

I hope everyone enjoyed the pictures in our wedding photography blog. Please check back for updates! For more images, please visit our random images page or our wedding photography website at Furious Photographers
Happy new year,
Lawrence
