Trash The Dress

Free Trash The Dress Sessions

"Offering 3 free 'Trash The Dress' sessions!"

Just about everyone is talking about the new buzz word, “Trash the dress” or “TTD.” It is a rather new concept whereas the bride seeks liberation from trashing her wedding dress. Thus far there have been a few reasons floating around why one would trash her wedding dress:
  1. To show her husband how committed she is because she will never need it again
  2. To trash the reminder of what was considered a stressful day
  3. Never need it again – food for moths

free trash the dress

Whatever the justification may be, I am sure brides think it through thoroughly. Although I fancy the idea of taking creative photographs of beautiful brides in their wedding dresses, I still prefer the tradition of donating / re-wearing / re-crafting of wedding dresses. On the contrary, I think it will be rather fun. That is why the Furious Photographers are offering three free “Trash The Dress” sessions for 2008! *Couples are subject to screening.

Just go to our contact page and drop a line saying that you are interested in a "Trash The Dress" session. Please include a link(s) of pictures of yourself in your dress and the location at which you would like to conduct your TTD session. Destination "Trash The Dress" sessions are permitted.

Please spread the word to your family and friends!

Kindest regards from your Los Angeles wedding photographer,

Lawrence

Anaheim Crowne Wedding Photography

The zesty wedding couple - Ashley and Andy - are USC fanatics. Since the entire Furious Photographers team consists of UCLA alumnus, it was weird to be in a house that had a USC flag, floor mat, blankets, etc. everywhere.

Ashley and Andy had a traditional tea ceremony wedding. This consisted of respectful offering of tea to their relatives in exchange for their blessings.

Aside from blessings and well-wishes, they also received gifts - Ashley and Andy displaying their "bling." :D

The wedding party decided to take some wedding pictures at Downtown Disney. As much as they wanted to take wedding photographs, many of them were glued to the big screen television at ESPN Zone because the USC football game was playing. Everyone decided for a quick and painless photo session.

Rosarito Photography

Wedding photographers have to take a break too :D

A good friend of mine, William, asked Julie and I to go to Rosarito last weekend. Having never been there, we consented! We stayed at a beach front house - 4 beds 3 baths. It was awesome! The west side of the house was all glass, which allowed maximum view of the ocean and sunset. My favorite time of the day was the latter - it lent the house a warm yellow glow for a stint. Friends and family all went to Rosarito to celebrate William's sister's birthday - Susan Vong (awesome girl).

Here's a group picture of all of the ladies in Rosarito

Since the patio was connected to the beach and the wind was mild, we sailed kites a lot.

rosarito wedding photographer

rosarito wedding photographer

One experience worth noting was horse riding. We made arrangements with the vendor to bring horses to our patio. Riders get to ride along the beach - it was a blast!

After working up an appetite, we had lunch at the world's famous La Fonda of Rosarito Mexico.

Since Coby and William are DJs, it was nice to have someone cranking tunes all day.

When returning home, it was surprising to see how many shacks stood just slightly inland right next to so many beautiful beach front communities. They were no more than half of a mile apart.

On our way back to the states, vendors would sell food and souvenirs along highways and in between street lanes. We were bombarded for the two hours trying to get past the border. The image below shows a vendor under the San Diego highway sign.

This was my first time to Rosarito, Mexico. It is truly an eye-opening experience. Overall it was a great vacation. I suggest to everyone to visit Mexico. All you need is your driver's license to drive in and out of the border. A passport is only needed if one flies in.

Downtown Los Angeles
Walt Disney Concert Hall
City Club on Bunker Hill

Janica and Marc (and their entourage) love to be in front of the camera. The entire day, they constantly checked with me, "so how many pictures did we take so far?" When we reached over the the 4,000 mark, they were like "yesss, right on." Overall, their crude humor and knee-slapping laughs made the hours pass too quickly. It was a blast working with this wedding party!

The following are some of their countless wedding photographs that we took during the day. We visited UCLA, the Disney Concert Hall and the Wells Fargo Building where they held their reception on the penthouse floor (54th) called "Bunker Hill." From up above, cars looked like ants.

Additionally, this couple can not part from their "stunna shades." In the limo, Marc exclaimed, "I don't care what we listen to, I just need some gangasta sh#t on! Guys! I'm getting married and all of ya'll are going to party!!!"

Although we were invited to drink Petron with them for breakfast, we must decline.

Their song - Check it out:

Furious Photographers was given the opportunity to be City Club's suggested vendor for wedding photography. They were very impressed with our teamwork as wedding photographers and our uncompromising quality in prints and albums. The following are just some of the pictures of the location. I highly suggest individuals to consider them for your wedding. They are on the 54th floor (penthouse) of the Wells Fargo building in Los Angeles. They have a breathtaking view of Downtown LA and beyond. The Furious Photographers had a totally rad time photographing an Orthodox Jewish Wedding. What made it cooler was that it was a military wedding as well. The handsome officers all drew swords during the wedding ceremony to make an archway. It was wicked!

It was actually our first time to witness this type of religious ceremony. There are a number of rules that make an Orthodox Jewish Wedding different from a regular Jewish Wedding. Overall it was a fantastic experience.

Arboretum / Bonaventure Wedding Photography

Taylin & Quan
Aboretum
Bonaventure

We had the privilege of providing Taylin & Quan wedding photography services in the lovely city of Los Angeles. This quirky couple started their day with a Chinese "door entry game," where the groom must coax the bridesmaids to allow him to enter the room to pick up his beautiful bride. He usually has to do a variety of tasks to prove his love for her. In this situation, Quan and his entourage had to sing and cajole the girls with red envelopes (containing money).

Once Quan succeeded, everyone proceeded to the Chinese tea ceremony. To pay respect to the family members, the couple would present tea in exchange for their well-wishes.

Following the tea ceremony, the wedding party went to the scenic Aboretum in Arcadia. Fortunately, in most cases, and unfortunately, Los Angeles is known for its constant sun. The scorching rays and lack of cool airflow in the limo created a lot of drowsy faces.

los angeles wedding photography

Despite the heat and uneven lighting conditions, our largest challenge was working with the videographers. Throughout the day, the three of them would constantly either get in our view or interject while we are trying to facilitate a pose. In the end, we did not even get a chance for a private session for the two at the Los Angeles Aboretum because the videographers were not cooperative, but we were still able to capture some randomly cool moments.

Following the Aboretum, the couple hosted their reception at Los Angeles Bonaventure in Downtown LA.
